On the 5th of this month in Warsaw, the XXXVIII General Assembly of the Polish Chamber of Tourism took place. It was attended by 96 delegates – members of the PCT.
Representatives of the authorities of Polish tourism and hospitality were present; Deputy Ministers of Sport and Tourism Ireneusz Raś and Piotr Borys, President of POT - Magdalena Krucz, President of MROT - Izabela Stelmańska, Board member, who manages the PHH company - Rafał Szmytke. The diplomatic corps was well represented – Ambassadors and Embassy staff from countries for which Poland is an important inbound tourism destination.
This year's meeting was not only an opportunity to summarize the Chamber's activities but also a space for discussing important challenges and changes affecting the tourism industry. Therefore, at the beginning of the Meeting, two debates took place: the first between the President of PCT Paweł Niewiadomski and Deputy Minister I. Raś regarding the introduction of the tourism fee and details of the new law concerning short-term rentals, and the second between the PCT President and the Ambassadors of Turkey and Egypt as well as the airline carrier regarding safety issues in tourism in the context of recent events in the international situation.
During the proceedings, Gromada was honored with a plaque "With expressions of recognition and thanks to the Nationwide Tourist Cooperative Gromada for over 35 years of membership and active involvement in the activities of the Polish Chamber of Tourism." The award was presented by the PCT President - P. Niewiadomski. OST Gromada, represented by the Board with a proxy, was represented by Dr. A. Zaborowski - Advisor to the President for Marketing and Promotion.
