Sulfur Bath is one of the most potent balneological treatments. It strongly dilates blood vessels, causing localized reddening of the skin, which helps in the treatment of peripheral artery atherosclerosis. The bath lowers cholesterol, triglyceride, and uric acid levels, which is beneficial in the treatment of diabetes and gout. Additionally, sulfur baths have anti-inflammatory, desensitizing, and detoxifying effects, especially for heavy metal poisoning (lead, mercury, bismuth, and arsenic). The bath is taken in a seated position at a temperature of 35-38°C.
Duration: 15 minutes. The number of treatments is determined individually by the attending physician.
